PCC seeks probe by High Court judge
Vijayawada: PCC president N Raghuveera Reddy demanded that the government order a probe into Durga temple issue with sitting judge of the High Court.
Speaking to media after inaugurating the Youth Congress membership drive at Andhra Ratnabhavan here on Friday, Raghuveera said the people did not have faith on inquiry committee appointed by the state government.
He said that the temple very close to CM’s residence and capital but the the government had failed to set right the temple administration. He said the officials of temple are creating confusion by making different statements.
He also said the government was once against conducting Janmabhoomi programme without solving problems of people. “The government has not cleared pending representations which were given in the last Janmabhoomi by public,” he said.
Raghuveera Reddy said the Congress would conduct membership drive in the state dividing the 13 district into 21 units. The party high command representative TK Ram, AP Youth Congress in-charge V Varaprasad, AP Mahila Congress president S Padmashree were also present.
