People happy with our work: CM
Amaravati: The government has created community assets in the rural areas across the state by liking the MNREGA works with 23 departments, said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
During a teleconference on Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme on Saturday, Naidu said that it was a great achievement and was possible because of the innovating thinking and judicious spending of MNREGA money on the required works. People are satisfied over the developmental works taken up by the state government during the last three-and-a-half years and the same is visible in the JBMV, he observed.
“With the JBMV programme, common problems like roads, drains, drinking water, electricity connections to individual houses, education, health and other infrastructure facilities are being created. Public are expressing satisfaction on it,” points out Chief Minister to the District Collectors during the conference.
Giving statistics of JBMV, Chandrababu Naidu explains that the number of participants in these programmes has been gradually increasing from three lakh in the first day to 6.54 lakh in the fourth day. The public participation would increase in the remaining days of the programme, he hoped.
Chief Minister expressed dissatisfaction over the failure of ground level officials in uploading all the grievances received at the meetings in the villages. He explained that more than 4,68,000 grievances were received from public during the four days of JBMV. But the officials uploaded only 1.50 lakh on the portal.
He said that only Anantapur district officials uploaded about 85 per cent of the grievances. If the government fails to solve the grievances, then the public dissatisfaction will be increased, he said to the officials. About 95 per cent of people have stated that officials actively participated in JBMV and five percent did not agree; 73 per cent of public expressed satisfaction over the response of officials on grievances and 27 percent were not satisfied.
Only 69 percent of public said pensions have been receiving promptly and 31 said no, 33 percent public said they did not get White Ration Cards and 29 per cent of public not satisfied with services of Chandranna Bhima scheme, he explained. Achanta, Mummidivaram, Peddapuram, Rajolu, Veligodu, Chagallu, Thanuku, Anaparti, Rayavaram, Kondapuram, B Kothakota, Mulakalacheruvu, Lakshmi Narasimha Pet, Brahmagari Matam mandals stood first among all the mandals in the State in the fourth day of JBMV, he said.
