Police to grill suspects in kidney racket

Guntur: The Guntur rural police will question all the suspects in the kidney racket in the district. They are serving notices on the suspects in Narasaraopet town and questioning one of the accused Madavat Venkateswara Naik. Police teams  are searching for another accused in the kidney racket Ravuri  Ravi Chowdary. 

Guntur Rural Superintendent of Police Ch Venkata  Appala Naidu said that they will conduct a thorough probe into kidney  racket. Guntur revenue divisional officer K Srinivasa  Rao  said: “We did not  get any orders to  conduct an inquiry on fake documents allegedly generated from Guntur tahsil office  for conducting kidney transplantation surgery.”

Meanwhile, the activists under the banner of Dalita  Bahujana Hakkula Porata  Samithi  staged a rasta roko on Addanki-Naraketpalli  Highway in Narasaraopet  town  on Sunday demanding the arrest of the prime accused in the kidney racket immediately. They raised  slogans  against  the district administration  for  delay in investigation.
