SP B Raja Kumari warns against rumour mongering

Rajamahendravaram:  Urban district superintendent of police B Raja Kumari warned of stern action against the persons who are trying to create instigate communal clashes in the city posting rumours and false news in social media outlets like Facebook, WhatsApp and also by conducting press meets. She said cases will be registered under Section 153(A) IPC, which carries a punishment of five years imprisonment.

Speaking to reporters in R&B guesthouse here on Saturday, Raja Kumari said police unravelled the mystery behind the murder of mosque employee Mohammed Farooq within 48 hours. But. some persons are alleging that the police produced a wrong person before the media, instead of the original accused Maniratnam.

“Anyone who have doubts in this regard can clarify them by contacting  the police officers by meeting them personally. The police are ready to investigate the case if any one produces the witnesses relating to the case,” she said.
