SRIT conducts cultural event

Proddatur: Sai Rajeswari Institute of Technology (SRIT) in association with the UBE Industries, Hyderabad, conducted a programme titled ‘Vooranta Sankranti’ on Saturday. According to the institute correspondent Basireddy Veerakalyan Reddy and principal R Veera Sudarsana Reddy, about 800 students from Kadapa district took part in the cultural celebrations. They greeted one and all in advance for Sankranti. 

They said that they were proud of UBE Industries for organising such celebrations for the first time in Rayalaseema region and that too beginning with Kadapa district. College chairman Basireddy Rajeswar Reddy and vice-chairman Basireddy Veera Kumara Reddy along with their spouses took part in the celebrations. 

Institute’s teaching and non-teaching staff also took part. Rangoli and group dance competitions for boys and girls in solo and group categories were conducted on the occasion. Winners were given away prizes.
