Anuradha takes charge as in-charge EO of Kanakadurga temple

Vijayawada: Endowments Commissioner V Anuradha took charge as in-charge executive officer of Durga temple on Sunday evening. 

Earlier, she was extended a warm welcome at the temple by priests and other staff. She will supervise the temple administration in the place of Surya Kumari who was transferred following the ‘Tantric Pooja’ controversy. Anuradha said that she would collect opinions from all sections of people to facilitate smooth functioning of temple administration.

She says that she has added responsibility as the famous temple of Goddess Durga is located in AP capital. 

She said poojas will be performed following Smartha system. She will regularly take suggestions from Agama Advisory Board of the government. Temple Stanacharya Siva Prasad and several officials were present.
