CM moots awards for officials, people’s reps
- Expresses happiness over the Janmabhoomi programme so far
- Tells officials to provide more benefits to joint families since many people are separating from them to obtain govt benefits
Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed happiness over the satisfaction level among the people reaching 93 per cent towards Janmabhoomi programme. The Chief Minister said 70,380 grievances had been resolved out of the total 6.15 lakh which were received from public in Janmabhoomi programme.
Addressing a teleconference with officials on Sunday, the Chief Minister said people were very happy over their problems getting resolved in the Janmabhoomi programme. He said that government departments, officials and people’s representatives as well would be given awards depends on their performance in Janmabhoomi on January 11 and 12. “All the officials and others are striving to make Janmabhoomi programme a success. I want to all to continue the best efforts for the remaining four days too,” he said.
The Chief Minister said 6,15,124 grievances were received in gram sabhas and 3,22,912 of them (52 per cent) were uploaded online. He also said 70,380 grievances had also been resolved. He suggested Chittoor, Kurnool, Prakasam and Vizianagaram districts speed up the process of uploading the grievances.
He said around 1.20 lakh people had attended the health camps at Janmabhoomi programmes state-wide and treatment was given to 10 lakh cattle in veterinary camps.
He also suggested that officials consider providing more benefits to joint families through various government schemes. “We observed that some people are separating from joint families only for obtaining ration cards and houses. It is not good for the society. We have to create confidence among the people that government will provide more benefits to the joint families,” he said.
He congratulated officials of Kakinada urban and rural mandals, Visakhapatnam urban and rural mandals and Rajamahendravaram urban and rural mandals for their best performance in conducting Janmabhoomi gram sabhas on Saturday.
