HPCL-Visakha Refinery gifts ambulance to Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation
Visakhapatnam: As part of its ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and Corporate Social Responsibility, the HPCL-Visakha Refinery has handed over an ambulance with the necessary equipment and another vehicle embedded with a septage or septic tank worth `58.50 lakh to Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) during the ‘Janmabhoomi-Maavooru’ programme organised at Janatha colony in the city on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Visakhapatnam West MLA PGVR Naidu lauded the initiatives taken up by HPCL under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan for bringing awareness among the general public on ‘Swachh Visakha’ and also applauded HPCL for taking up various activities for the development of education and health.
The HPCL has become an inspirational PSU in implementing various activities under CSR and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, he added. Addressing the gathering, GVMC special officer Praveen Kumar has applauded the services rendered by HPCLfor carrying out various under activities under CSR programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Executive Director-Visakha Refinery GSVSSS Prasad Sharma said that the HPCL has been working for the benefit of the needy people and focusing on education, hygiene and health in Visakhapatnam as part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.
