Neeratotsavam commences

Tirupati: The week-long festival of Andal Neeratotsavam to Goddess  Andal Sri Goda Devi at Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati commenced on Sunday.

This festival is held at the temple every year in the auspicious Dhanurmasam.   The deity of Goddess was taken on a celestial procession at 5 a.m. to Ramachandra Gunta and special Abhishekam was performed. Later in the evening, the deity was brought back to the temple.
