Poonam Kaur is not a brand ambassador: AP Minister

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Minister Kollu Ravindra on Tuesday said that the state government did not appoint actress Poonam Kaur as the brand ambassador of Andhra Pradesh handlooms. He further said that no appointment was carried out as far as the AP government is concerned. 

A day after film critic Mahesh Kathi commented that Poonam Kaur was appointed as brand ambassador of AP handlooms after much intervention from Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan, the issue sparked a debate on social media on Monday. 

Kathi Mahesh convened a media conference at Somajiguda and made several allegations against Pawan Kalyan and Poonam Kaur. Minister Ravindra clarified that members of handloom industry met Pawan Kalyan urging him to be a brand ambassador of handlooms.
