State to display achievements in irrigation sector at AP Bhavan

Amaravati: The State government has decided to install posters, sign boards and electronic display boards in and around Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in New Delhi explaining the success stories in the irrigation sector.

In an order issued to Resident Commissioner of AP Bhavan and other officials, the State government said that the Chief Minister launched many schemes in irrigation sector during the last three years and successfully completed some projects on priority basis and in record-time to make available irrigation water to scarcity zones.

Pattiseema Lift Irrigation Project is the best example which was aimed to cater to the needs of Krishna delta farmers by linking Godavari and Krishna rivers. There are some other success stories pertaining to AP Irrigation schemes.

Therefore the government proposed to display posters, sign boards and electronic display boards in and around AP Bhavan. The government has also sanctioned Rs 10 lakh for this purpose and directed Engineer-in-Chief of irrigation department to take necessary action in this regard.
