Fire in tribal village, 12 houses gutted

Vizianagaram: As many as 12 houses in Regilapadu tribal hamlet were reduced to ashes after fire swept through the village near 
Kuneru of Mentada mandal in Vizianagaram district on Wednesday. 

According to media reports, Rs 5 lakh property was gutted due to the fire. As the village is located in remote place, officials ruled out sending fire tenders to bring the situation under control, it is learnt. 

Casualties in the mishap are yet to be ascertained. Further information over the incident is awaited.
