SVU draftsman in ACB net; Gold, property worth 3 crore seized

Tirupati: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths led by ACB DSP Sankar Reddy have raided the house of N Rudra Kumar, who is working as head draftsman at the Engineering department in the Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), at Lakshmi Srinivasa Nagar here in the early hours of Wednesday and seized property documents, gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 3 crore.

Simultaneous searches were conducted at his sister’s house in Tirupati and brother-in-law residence in Nellore and at his office at SVU. The ACB registered a case against Rudra Kumar on the charges of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. Apart from Sankar Reddy, Circle Inspectors Chandrasekhar and Vijaysekhar, and other cops took part in searches.
