Directorate of Revenue Intelligence seizes foreign cigarettes worth 60l

Guntur: On specific information, officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence Vijayawada have inspected a transport godown in Gunturon Thursday and recovered 1,500 packages of cigarettes of foreign make - " DJRUM BLACK (total 3lakh sticks).

Another 1,920 packages were found to contain Indian make cigarettes - Sunil One (total 4.8 lakh sticks) The consignments were not covered by valid documents.The smuggled cigarettes valued at Rs.60,00,000 were seized under Customs Act,1962. The Indian make cigarettes were handed over to the Guntur GST officials for further investigation.
