Lokesh vows funds to complete Daddanala, Sangapatnam projects

Kurnool: Minister for panchayat Raj and IT Nara Lokesh promised to sanction adequate funds to complete Daddanala and Sangapatnam lift irrigation schemes in Banaganapalle Assembly constituency. He was participating in the last day of Janmabhoomi-MaaVooru programme at Banaganapallein the district on Thursday. 

Addressing a amassive rally with 10,000 people organised on the occasion, Lokesh said that the fifth phase of Janmabhoomiwas aimed at reaching out to the common people and to solve their problems. 

Appealing to the people to utilise the government services, he said all the eligible beneficiaries were being given pensions, ration cards and other welfare benefits. 

He said that the TDP government was providing 24 hours power and implementing loan waiver scheme for farmers. “By 2019, every household in the state will be given drinking water connection. Panchayat raj department is constructing 2,700 km underground drainage in the state. The government is giving star grading to all the villages based on infrastructure and development,” he said. 

Stating that 80 per cent of toilets construction was completed in villages, he assured that protected drinking water would be supplied to all the villages soon. He said though the government was facing financial crunch, it was fulfilling the poll promises by implementing the welfare schemes and taking up developmental works. 

Later, Lokesh inaugurated the cement road that was laid at a cost of Rs60 lakhs at Ramavarapuram village in Banaganapalle.He distributed ration cards and pension sanctioning letters to the beneficiaries and participated in Srimantam (baby showers) for pregnant women.

District collector S Satyanarayana, MLC KE Prabhakar, Banaganapalle MLA BC Janardhan Reddy, Kurnool MLA SV Mohan Reddy, TDP district president SomisettyVenkateswarlu and others were present.
