Chaso award presented

Vizianagaram: Chaganti Somayajulu (Chaso) Memorial Literary Award was presented to Odisha writer G Haridas at a programme organised in Vizianagaram on Wednesday.

Chaganti Tulasi,  daughter of legendary writer Chaganti Somayajulu stated the Chaso Foundation has been giving this award for the past 23 years to the writers of Andhra Pradesh but this year the foundation selected the writer from Odisha.  

Chaganti Tulasi stated that the foundation is aimed to publicise the ideology and writing style of legendary writer of Chaso to next generations. Odisha writer Haridas stated that it's great honour for him presenting the award named after a legendary writer.

Chaganti Krishna Kumari, Chandu Subba Rao and others have participated in the programme. In the programme, Aalokana and Nee Uttaram Andindi books were released.
