Krishna women, men lift PVR Kabaddi titles
Vijayawada: In the finals of PVR Kabaddi Champion League competitions, organised by the MEIL, held at Dokiparru, Krishna district’s men’s and women’s teams emerged victorious and captured the title trouncing rival teams–Guntur district and Amaravati teams respectively.
The women’s team restricted Amaravati team to a score of 19 to win the title, while the Guntur team was restricted to a score of 38. The first prize winning Krishna district team was awarded Rs 1 lakh along with the trophy, while the runners (Amaravati team) got Rs 75,000.
Vuyyuru team that finished third got prize money of Rs 50,000, while the Avanigadda team that finished fourth received Rs 25,000. In the men’s championship, Krishna district finished as the winners, Guntur district emerged as runners, while the Yanam team finished the third. Best player from each team has been honoured with a cash prize of Rs 5000.
MEIL chairman PV Reddy and Managing Director PV Krishna Reddy felicitated several female national kabbaddi players, who excelled in the game in several events. Spouses of Chairman and Managing Director–Sudha Rani and Rama distributed prizes among the winners.
