Pushpa Pallaki Seva performed at Srisailam temple
Srisailam Project: As part of the Makara Sankranti celebrations, ‘Pushpa Pallaki Seva’ was offered to the deities at Bhramarambika Mallikarjuna Swamy temple here on Tuesday.
Twenty-one varieties of flowers like ‘tella chamanti’, ‘pasupu chamanti’, ‘erra chamanti’, ‘pasupu banti’, ‘kanakambaram’, ‘malle’, ‘sanna jajulu’, ‘nandivardhanam’, ‘kagada’, ‘jabra’, ‘cornation’, ‘armid, ‘gladiolas’, ‘tiger rose’, ‘star rose’, ‘astar’, ‘bilwam aku’, ‘panneer aku’, ‘maruvam’ and ‘davanam’ were used in the decoration of the chariot for taking the deities in a procession, said Executive Officer Bharat Gupta.
To coincide with the festival, ‘sadasyam nagavalli’ was organised at the kalyana mandapam. Vedic pundits have participated in the programme during which ‘mettelu’ and ‘nallapusalu’ were offered to Goddess Bhramarambika.
On Wednesday (January 17), ‘rudrahoma purnahuti’ will be conducted at 9.30 am after the usual morning pooja, along with ‘kalasodwasana’, ‘trisula snanam’, and ‘vasantotsavam’. At 7 pm, ‘dwaja rohanam’ will be organised.
