Flight services delayed at Gannavaram Airport

Vijayawada: Flight services were delayed here on Wednesday morning due to thick fog engulfed over the airport. Three flights arrived from Hyderabad could not land on the runway for more than 30 minutes. 

After making some sorties over the airport, two flights went back to Hyderabad due to the poor visibility caused by the fog. One flight was landed 30 minutes behind the schedule.

Airport director G Madhusudana Rao said some flight services were delayed by one hour in the morning due to thick fog.  He said the services continued as usual since afternoon. Some passengers were upset over the delay of services.
