TTD gets ready for Rathasapthami

Tirumala: With less than a week left for Rathasapthami, all departments in TTD are geared up for the celestial fete took place on January 24.

Following the festival, the TTD has cancelled all arjitha sevas, privileged darshan for aged, physically challenged, parents with infants, NRIs, defence personnel and VIP break darshan anticipating heavy pilgrim influx for the big occasion.

As the Lord Malayappa Swamy takes ride on seven different vehicles on a single day from desk to dawn, this festival is also called one-day Brahmotsavam or mini Brahmotsavam.
