Woman, daughter killed by their spouses
Eluru: Police exhumed the bodies of a woman and her daughter in a cashew garden located in between KR Puram and Yerrayagudem village in Buttayagudem Mandal on Saturday. According to Police, Illa Savitri (40), wife of Ramanjaneyulu of LND Pet village and their daughter Puliboyina Mangatayaru (19), wife of Nagaraju were missing since November 28 (2017).
Kondayamma, the maternal grand-mother of Mangatayaru complained to Polavaram police about the missing of mother and daughter. Police registered a missing case and started investigation. During investigation, police suspected the role of husbands of both the women.
The mother Illa Savitri’s husband Ramanjaneyulu and daughter Mangatayaru’s husband Puliboyina Nagaraju fled from the LND Pet village after the missing of the two women. When police came to know that the two visited the village, they went to LND pet and arrested the two men. The accused confessed to their crime.
The police reached the cashew garden between KR Puram-Yarrayagudem and exhumed the bodies. The accused said that they had strangled the necks of the women with a rope. After killing both mother and daughter, they buried the bodies in the garden.
Meanwhile, the relatives of the victims said that Puliboyina Nagaraju and Mangatayaru were in love and got married one year ago. After the marriage, there were quarrels between the couple. Besides this, Illa Savitri and her husband Ramanjaneyulu also developed quarrels. The vexed husbands decided to eliminate both mother and daughter and hatched a conspiracy. As per their plan, they killed the mother and daughter.
The bodies were sent to Jangareddigudem Government Hospital for post-mortem.The police said that they are investigating the case from all angles. The case has been altered as murder from missing case.
