Assistant Commissioner of Labour in ACB net

Kadapa: The Anti-Corruption Bureau Officials have arrested  Assistant Commissioner  of Labour Department CPenchalaiah on the charges of acceptingbribe from one PLakshmi of the city, for filing enquiry report in her favour relating to benefits of her deceased husband job.

The ACB DSP SNagaraju says that PSrinivasulu of Kadapa city was working as a driver in Uranium factory located in Vemula mandal. Recently, he died due to ill health.

In this connection widow of Penchalaiah, PLakshmiapplied to the Joint Commissioner of Labour Department in Kurnool for benefits amounting to Rs 7lakh related to her husband’s job. Joint Commissioner office had asked the Assistant Commissioner to make an enquiry and submit report on the issue.   

The Assistant Commissioner expected Rs 10,000 bribe from the woman to file report in her favour.  She approached ACB officials on Sunday and they nabbed the officer while accepting the bribe from the victim at his office located in old RIMS Hospital building. A case was registered by the ACB.
