Donor to bear retractable roof cost

Tirumala: Nellore based businessman and philanthropist V Prabhakar Reddy has come forward to bear the total cost of retractable roof set up in Tirumala temple. Speaking on this at his residence in Tirupati on Monday, Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju said, ``the head of VPR Infrastructure Private Ltd. 

V Prabhakar Reddy has come forward to bear the total expenditure of retractable roof which costs Rs 1.09crore. In the first phase, he announced Rs 55lakhs and handed over the DD for the same on Monday. 

This roof provides a protective shield to pilgrims during inclement weather conditions. In normal weather conditions, the pilgrims can see the Dhwajastambham", he added.
