Prajavani programme flooded with petitions

Chittoor: Petitioners across the district have flooded in the Collectorateon Monday and presented their petitions in the Prajavani programme standing in long queues for hours together. The programme is held on all Mondays. District Collector PSPradyumna has received the petitions and tried to redress burning issues on the spot.

Joint Collector Girisha,Additional  Joint Collector  Chandra Mouli , DRDA Project Director Ravi Prakash Reddy,  DWMA PD Kurmanath,  DCH   DrSaralamma , DMHO Vijayagouri, Municipal Commissioner Balasubramanyam and other officials were present.

After clearing the morning session of Prajavani programme, Collector Pradyumna held an official meeting with the district officers and reviewed the progress of the Prajavaniprogramme.“ Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is keen to solve the public grievances by maintaining transparency and accountability, the Collector said. It is learnt that certain departments have yet to rise to the expectations in clearing the pending grievances.

Each departmental head must be very serious to clear the petitions,” he added.  He reiterated that he would be very serious if any district officer was found irresponsible in achieving the targets. Revenue Department should take effective steps for attending all the pending petitions of  Prajavani programme.

It is obvious to add that District Collector received about 340 petitions from the public in which many of them were confined for ration cards, pensions, house sites and scholarships. Several physically challenged persons from Madanapalli, Punganur and Kuppam  expressed their agony for not obtaining their pensions for the past some months.
