Electronic boards at Rytu Bazaars

Vijayawada: The electronic boards would be set up at all the 20 Rytu Bazaars in Krishna district, said Collector B Lakshmikantham. He inspected the Rytu Bazaar at PWD grounds here on Tuesday. Speaking othe occasion, he said basic amenities would be provided in all Rytu Bazaars in the district. 

The Collector also said the public could know prices of vegetables from display boards. He suggested to the people to observe electronic weighing machines at the time of purchasing vegetables and asked them to complaint to the officials, if they find any irregularities. Especially, the government was taking steps to provide drinking water and maintaining hygiene, he said.  

The district administration is making plans to import onions from Maharashtra and construct cold storages in Kurnool district for stabilising prices, he said. The Collector assured to open second gate for Rytu Bazaar after discussing the police department. Marketing Yard superintendent M Venkateshwara Rao, estate officers R Ajay Kumar and V Koteshwara Rao were also present.
