Jagan paints himself into a corner: Vundavalli

Update: 2018-01-24 09:30 IST

Rajamahendravaram: Chances of YSRCP going with BJP in the next elections appears to be almost nil, opined former MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar. Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, Arun Kumar said that Jagan, who has been extending unconditional support to BJP since 2014, has now put a condition that he would walk with the saffron party if they give special status to Andhra Pradesh now.

Special status is an issue which the Centre has dumped and is a closed issue. They will not give it at any cost and hence the doors for Jagan to have any alliance with BJP are closed, he said.

Now it is for YSRCP to decide whether they will go it alone or will they move closer to Congress, he said. At the Centre, the fight is going to be between NDA and UPA and either of them will come to power. Since the talk of early elections is in the
air, it is time for Jagan to decide whom he will support at the central level.
