Kodela reviews arrangements for Kotappakonda festivities

Guntur: Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao said the state government has sanctioned Rs 50 lakh to Kotappakonda festivities on the occasion of Maha Sivaratri to be celebrated soon.

He reviewed arrangements for Maha Sivaratri celebrations at Trikoteswara Swamy Temple at Kotappakonda in Guntur district on Monday. Speaking on this occasion, he said that at least 10 lakh devotees were expected to participate in the Kotappakonda festivities. He directed the officials to take up repairs to the roads leading to Kotappakonda. 

The Speaker ordered officials to run special buses to Kotapakonda for the convenience of the devotees visiting the hill shrine. He instructed doctors to conduct medical camps and make necessary arrangements for supply of drinking water to the devotees and asked them to make arrangements for parking the vehicles and take steps to regulate the traffic on this occasion. He directed the officials to engage sufficient workers to maintain sanitation.

District Collector Kona Sasidhar directed the officials to make arrangements for the devotees visiting Kotappakonda without any inconvenience. Guntur Rural SP Ch Venkata Appala Swamy directed the officials to make foolproof security arrangements for Maha Sivaratri festivities.
