Mother kits at govt hospitals soon

Guntur: Minister for Medical and Health Kamineni Srinivas said that the government will distribute mother kits to encourage deliveries in the government hospitals soon. He added that delivers in the government hospitals are increasing in the state. 

Out-patients visiting the Guntur Government Hospital are increasing in the state after TDP government came to power.  He inaugurated Mother and Child Hospital block constructed at a cost of Rs 15.5 crore at the Tenali government hospital on Wednesday. This block consists of 150 beds.

Speaking on this occasion, he said that the aim of the government is to provide  better medical facilities in the government hospitals for the convenience  of the poor. 

He said that the hospital will cater to the needs of the people residing in Vemuru and Duggirala also. He said out-patients number at the government hospital in Tenali increased  from 800 to 1,500.  The government was ready to sanction medical college in Tenali, if anybody will come forward to set up a medical. 

The minister said that the government  is supplying oxygen to all beds  in the government hospitals  and added that   the  government  has taken  steps to change beds sheets in the government hospitals  and  Mahaprastanam was introduced to send dead bodies to their homes,  dialysis units were set up in  the government hospitals for the convenience of the poor patients  suffering from kidney problems.  

He reminded that the government  introduced Talli  Bidda Express  and distributing NTR baby kits. MLA Alapati Rajendra Prasad, Mahila Commission Chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari were among those present.
