Netaji birth anniversary celebrated
Vijayawada: “Freedom-fighter Subhash Chandra Bose was a unique personality whose patriotism made him the hero of freedom struggle against the British,” said Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) activists.
They garlanded the statue of Bose on his 121st birth anniversary here on Tuesday. “The present generation is ignoring most of the freedom-fighters who struggled and sacrificed their lives to free India. But no one can forget the role of Bose in the freedom struggle,” said the activists. VHP city president Shivaji said that all the Indians have respect for Bose from the bottom of their hearts.
Bose made all the Indians chant ‘Jai Hind’ and ‘Chalo Delhi’ slogans. VHP city vice-president Durga Prasad said that there were many VHP women activists who followed the footsteps of Bose. “The younger generation needs to take inspiration from Bose,” he added.
