RK Mission doing yeoman service: Seer

Visakhapatnam: Executive Director of HPCL Visakh Refinery GSVSSS Prasad Sarma inaugurated Maa Sarada Cerebral Palsy Clinic and Learning Centre for Children here on Tuesday. 

Assistant General Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math Swami Abhiramanadaji and others were present on the occasion. It is the state-of-the-art centre which provides physiotherapy, special education, acupressure, sand therapy, aqua therapy, spider therapy, yoga, behaviour modification therapy and sensory integration.

Speaking on the occasion, GSVSSS Sarma said that under the Corporate Social Responsibility, HPCL has been taking up projects, including health, education for children in rural areas and under developed sections of the society. He assured continuous support to RK Mission Maa Sarada Cerebral Palsy Clinic and Learning Centre for Children.  The HPCL has spent Rs 38.5 lakh towards construction of first floor of the centre, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Swami Abhiramanadaji said that in Coimbatore the RK Mission is running a college for special education. More organisations are not coming forward and working in this field as it requires lots of financial support and Ramakrishna Mission is able to extend their services in the area as they serve with a motto ‘service to mankind is service to the Lord, he added.

Secretary  of RK Mission  of Visakhapatnam Swami Atmavidanandaji appealed the people to come forward and join the mission in building lives of these special children. The centre is providing treatment free of cost for the past 25 years. Students from various schools and colleges should know and understand the special abilities these children have, he added.

General Manager (HR) HPCL-VR N Raja Rao and Chief Manager (PR) US Sarma  were present on the occasion.
