2-day Lepakshi festival to begin on March 9

Vijayawada: Film actor and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna asked the officials to organise the ensuing Lepakshi Utsavalu in a grand manner.

Balakrishna said last year the Tourism and Culture department made elaborate arrangements for the success of Lepakshi festival. Reviewing the arrangements with officials here on Wednesday, he said the Utsavalu would be conducted for two days from March 9.  

He also suggested to the officials to organise the event with new programmes and concepts by following traditions and culture. Tourism secretary Mukeshkumar Meena said the arrangements are being made innovatively for the grand success of the event.

Musician Sivamani and veteran actress Hema Malini have been invited for the festival. Actors Mahesh Babu and Tammannah have also been invited but they are yet to confirm their participation.
