Demand for High Court in Kurnool

Adoni: Members of Adoni Bar Association and student unions staged a dharna at Bheema’s Circle here on Wednesday demanding the government to set up an exclusive High Court for Andhra Pradesh in Kurnool.

Student Unions’ JAC Convener Faiz criticised the UPA government for giving a raw deal to the Rayalaseema region by bifurcating the Andhra Pradesh. Protests will continue till their demand is met, he added.

Bar Association president Ranganna and general secretary Vijay Bhaskar Reddy said relay hunger strikes were going on for the last four days and threatened to boycott court for five days and intensify the agitation.
