Husband strangles wife over financial matter

Bhimavaram: In a gruesome incident, a man strangled his wife to death at an abandoned cotton mill in Undi near Bhimavaram of West Godavari district on Wednesday. 

According to the police, victim has been identified as 22-year-old Sharon, a resident of Bose colony in Kalla mandal. She was married to Godi Sanjaykumar six years ago. After the marriage, the couple had two children - Nandini(4) and one and half year old Yohan. 

Last December, Sharon lodged a complaint with the police and a case of harassment has been registered against Sanjaykumar. Since then, both were living separately. On Wednesday, Sharon called his husband over phone seeking money. Sanjay asked her to come to factory at Undi. When she arrived at the place, Sanjay took her to a nearby abandoned cotton mill. Later, he picked up argument with his wife over a financial matter. In fit of rage, Sanjay strangled Sharon to death. A case has been registered and the police have launched a manhunt to nab Sanjay.
