Girl stages dharna in front of beau’s residence

Parvathipuram (Vizianagaram): A tribal girl staged a dharna in front of here beau’s residence alleging that he took her for a ride. According to sources, K Punyavathi and P Sekhar of Tulasi Valasa village in Komarada mandal fell in love a few months ago.

Both belong to tribal community, but their sub-castes are different. It is learnt that Sekhar had fulfilled his carnal desires promising to marry her. But on Wednesday, he informed that he cannot marry her as his parents are opposing the proposal to marry her.

She was shocked and told her parents about Sekhar and how he had betrayed her. On Thursday, she, along with her parents, staged the dharna in front of Sekhar’s house demanding him to marry her.
