Power mishaps due to negligence

Visakhapatnam: Chairman and Managing Director of APEPDCL HY Dora said that power is the highest need of the society and also it is the most dangerous one, if not properly used by observing the standards. The consumers, generation, distribution companies and the contractors, who have been engaged in the electricity fields, should follow precautions, he suggested.

Andhra Pradesh A-Class Contractors Association meeting was held in the city on Thursday. He was the chief guest at the meeting. Speaking on the occasion,  Dora said that the APEPDCL is creating several awareness programmes for the people on electrical safety.

Majority of the short circuit and other electricity related accidents occurring due to the negligence of people and lack of proper safety precautions at work places, the CMD observed. On the occasion, Dora released first newsletter of A-Class Electrical Contractors Association. President of the association K Leela Prasad presided over the meeting.
