Uncertainty Looms On Teacher Recruitment in AP

The education department in Andhra Pradesh has yet to take up recruitment process to fill  12,370 posts. Though the government announced the vacancies in December, the department did not issue notification.  Proposal to fill another 14,000 posts was also forwarded  for government approval recently. 

There was no clarity on the number of vacancies to be filled in the fresh DSc notification. After the completion of rationalization process,  5000 posts were left and another 2000 posts in drawing,  craft and arts. In all,  it is expected 22,000 vacancies need to be filled.

Government has also no clarity on the conduct of TET examination.  3rd paper has been introduced for language pundits.  It is proposed to conduct TET exam between February and March but the public exams for inter and 10 th will force the government to postpone the teacher eligibility test for four months. Government will not conduct teacher recruitment exam without  the confound announcement of TET results.
