Major changes on cards in medical education: ADG
Visakhapatnam: To train the Indian medical graduates with necessary competence to facilitate his or her role as a healthcare provider the Department of Medical Education, Government of India is bringing major changes in medical education, announced Assistant Director General, Medical Education, Government of India, Dr B Srinivas. He participated as the chief guest at the Annual Day celebrations of GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (GIMSR) at GITAM campus here on Saturday and addressed the MBBS students.
GITAM Vice-Chancellor Prof M S Prasada Rao opined that the latest trends should be followed in Medical Education to prevent diseases in future and emphasised the value of Technology in Medical Education. Director of Medical Education, Government of AP Dr K Babjee, GITAM Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof K Sivaramakrishna, GIMSR Medical College Principal Prof SP Rao, GIMSR Hospital Medical Superintendent Prof Jai Prakash Babu, Organising Committee Chairperson Prof G Subbarao and others participated in the programme. The students of the Medical College have presented various cultural activities on the occasion.
