Series of murders a cause for concern

 Visakhapatnam: A series of murders shocked the denizens. As many as four murder cases were registered in the city in the past three weeks. When the murder of a former railway employee is still afresh in the minds of locals, a yoga teacher was brutally murdered in the city on Friday night. After observing the CCTV footage, it was found that four miscreants murdered the yoga teacher. The deceased was identified as PV Ramana of Marripalem in the city.

According to police, PV Ramana, who worked as a yoga teacher in Vietnam, returned to the city in 2016 after his mother’s death. During the past two years, PV Ramana had a dispute with one KV Ramana. Cases were also registered against PV Ramana and the police seized his passport also.

Meanwhile PV Ramana’s first wife Satyaveni was legally separated from her husband and residing at another place. Later, PV Ramana married another yoga colleague Padma and residing at Marripalem. They also blessed with a boy. Recently, PV Ramana decided to move to Vietnam. In order to get his passport from the police, PV Ramana had offered Rs 2 lakh to KV Ramana in order to compromise with him and withdrawal of cases registered against the him. 

KV Ramana’s son is also working as a yoga teacher in Vietnam and assumed that if PV Ramana moves again to Vietnam, he may become competition to his son. In this back drop, on Friday night, KV Ramana, along with three others, went to PV Ramana’s house and called him to discuss about their dispute. They took to an isolated place on the pretext of resolving their dispute and killed PV Ramana and fled the spot. The incident was recorded in the CCTV in the locality.

Police said that KV Ramana is claiming himself as a bureau chief of a local daily. Both the victim and the accused are having financial transactions but later into foes. Special police teams deployed to nab the accused. The body was shifted to KGH for post-mortem.
