YSRCP chief favours Corp. for helping scribes
Nellore: YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy has assured scribes that he favours formation of AP Journalists Corporation for the benefit of reporters and staff of small media houses. A team of journalists met the Opposition leader and submitted a representation to the YSRCP chief. He continued his yatra on Saturday from Saguturu in Ozili mandal.

He crossed Chilaman Chenu crossroads, Gurramkonda, Armenipadu and other villages. He halted in Timmasamudram crossroads. Members of AP Editors and Journalist Association met Jaganmohan on the way and submitted a representation explaining the conditions of reporting network in rural areas. They asked Rs 10,000 worth advertisements to the small newspapers every month for supporting them. They also asked for free education for children and health facilities to the family members of media personnel.
Jaganmohan Reddy said they would formulate policy to uplift the conditions of journalists in the state. He assured them that he would also consider a separate Corporation for small media houses for providing financial assistance on par with other Corporations meant for various sections of people once they formed government.
He also met the farmers, women, and others on the way listening to their grievances. District leaders were also along with him.
