Athletics for Civil Services officials from today at Acharya Nagarjuna University

Guntur: Sports Authority Andhra Pradesh and ANU Physical Education Department has all set to conduct All India Civil Services Athletics championship competitions for three days commencing from Wednesday (Jan 31) on synthetic grounds at  Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU).

The general administration department is monitoring the arrangements. January 30 to February 1. Competitions will be conducted in 50  events for men and women separately.

Over one thousand athletics are expected to participate in the competitions. The Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) is using the services of 100 technical persons from APAthletics’ Association for conducting the competitions. 

At a meeting held at ANU on Monday, SAAP OSD Prattipati Rama Krishna and ANU Physical Education director Kishore reviewed the arrangements. The government is conducting  cricket tournament for Civil Services  officials at Mulapadu. Speaking to The Hans India,  Rama Krishna said “After 50 years, the government is conducting sports meet for the Civil Services officials.”
