Centre should reconsider its decision on special status: MP
New Delhi: MP Vijaya Sai Reddy on Sunday said that Centre was apprised of the present political scenario and Andhra Pradesh's economic condition. He said that he demanded that the Centre should reconsider its decision on Special Category status and granting of railway zone to the state at the earliest.
Vijaya Sai Reddy took part in the All Party meeting ahead parliament budget session. Speaking to media persons, he said that the Centre has non knowledge of the present economic condition of Andhra Pradesh state.
He further demanded that amendments should be made to anti defection law. The delegation of Andhra Pradesh MPs urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to allocate more funds to Polavaram project. He said that the government should come forward in helping farmers to get Minimum Support Price (MSP) to their produce.
