Minister administers polio drops to kids

Guntur: Minister for Social Welfare Nakka Anand Babu administered polio drops at Bongaralabeedu in the city on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, he stressed the need to administer polio drops to children below the age of five years to prevent polio. He sought the cooperation of parents to make the programme a grand success.  

District Collector Kona Sasidhar said that there are 4.25 lakh  children below the age of five years in the district. “Though, we have taken steps to administer polio drops to them on Sunday, this programme would be continued on January 29, 30 and 31 and urged parents to bring their  children for administering polio drop and make it a grand success.”  

Additional Joint Collector M Venkateshwara Rao and DMHO Shalini Devi were present on the occasion.
