According to police, KV Ramana confessed that he hired a city- based killer gang to eliminate yoga teacher PV Ramana at Rs 1.5 lakh and also paid the money. The killer gang murdered the yoga teacher at Marripalem on Friday night by attacking with iron rods.

The police, who are investigating the murder of PV Ramana, said that the accused KV Ramana was making contradictory statements.

"Initially, he said he celebrated a liquor party with the killer gang after eliminating the yoga teacher on Saturday night and the gang attacked him for failure to pay the money as per contract. Changing his version, the accused is saying that the gang attacked him assuming that he would reveal their names during police interrogation as he was captured in the CCTV footage," said inspector M Mahesh.

Meanwhile, sources said that KV Ramana revealed two names of the killer gang and the police launched a man-hunt to nab the duo. Further investigation is on.
