TDP backstabbing BJP, says Somu Veerraju

Vizianagaram: BJP MLC Somu Veerraju has made some sensational comments against their ally the Telugu Desam Party.  On Sunday, he participated in a programme here and alleged that the TDP has been backstabbing BJP and deriving benefit.

"The TDP is receiving our support but damaging our image. But we are patiently bearing their attitude. While the TDP allotted 14 MLA seats to us in 2014 elections, they again extended support to 4 independents in the constituencies. Even in Kakinada corporation elections though we were given 9 seats, the TDP encouraged independents in 6 wards.”

He also alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu made damaging comments against the Union government and the Prime Minister. Veerraju said BJP Minister P Manikyala Rao was being insulted by the TDP leaders. “We have been supporting TDP right from village level but we are being humiliated by them. We don't want to sever ties with TDP but their behaviour is seriously hurting us,” the BJP MLC said.
