Trg programme for PhD scholars commences

Anantapur:  JNTU- Research and Development Director Prof V Satyanarayana has said that training classes for 2016 batch of Ph D Students, which commenced on Saturday, will go on till February 1. 

The Ph D scholars should appear for the pre-Ph D examinations in four subjects. In the first spell training classes for two subjects are under way. Resource persons for 80 subjects of 14 departments of the university have been roped in for imparting training. Some of them represent eminent institutions like the NIT.

Prof. S Srinivas Kumar, the vice-chancellor, described research as an ocean and it should be done with transparency, sincerity and commitment. 

Registrar     Prof S Krishnaiah said that only four out of every 1000 population hold the doctorate degrees. He wanted their number should increase in future. Internet facility has become very important tool for the researches. 

Rector Prof D Subba Rao, Prof A Ananda Rao, Prof G Prasanti and PRO M Anka Rao and others took part in the programme. EOM
