3 inter-state burglars nabbed within 3 min

Kadapa: The city cops have arrested 3 burglars at NGOs Colony on Monday with the help of LHMS app and recovered Rs 60 lakh worth booty from them. The recovery includes 1.182 kg of gold ornaments, 4 kg silver, 8 LED TVs, 5 bikes and 6 cars.

The accused were identified as B Vijaya Kumar alias Vikram Krishna (27) of Jakkaram village in Kondurg mandal of Mahabubnagar district, Nimmala Harish alias Hari of Bairagi Patteda of Tirupati city, Bollavaram Prasad Reddy alias Prasad (24) of Kalavathi Nagar in Jeedimetla, Hyderabad. 

Speaking to the media, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Adan Naeem Asmi said that the burglars were busted through the Locked House Monitoring System (LHMS) app introduced by Kadapa police in 2017.

The ASP narrated that the CCS DSP K Chandrashekar, who was monitoring the LHMS which is connected to the Command Control Centre (CCC), had noticed some persons had burgled a house at NGOs Colony around 2.30 am on Monday in the absence of inmates. The DSP immediately alerted the Chinna Chowk Circle Inspector Ramakrishna. 

The CI along with other cops rushed to the spot and nabbed them. The ASP said burglars were detained within 3 minutes of indulging in the crime. During the interrogation, the accused confessed of committing 42 crimes in the districts of Chittoor, Kadapa, Nellore and Kadapa. District SP Babujee has declared rewards to the cops for arresting the accused. He urged the people to install LHMS app to prevent the burglaries in their homes.
