Submit report on irregularities to collector: Pithani
Srikakulam: District in-charge minister Pithani Satyanarayana on Monday directed the irrigation officials to submit a detailed report on irregularities in Neeru-Chettu programme to district collector.
Reviewing the progress of projects and works in the district with officials at ZP meeting hall here, the minister expressed dissatisfaction over Neeru-Chettu works. He admitted that irregularities were took place in the programme with the connivance of executive engineer (EE).
Pithani said he came to know about the anomalies recently and expressed his ire over delay in payments for genuine works. He directed the irrigation officials to submit detailed report over the works to collector.
Minister for energy K Kala Venkata Rao, government whip K Ravi Kumar and ZP chairperson Ch Dhana Laxmi blamed the officials for delay in completion of Madduvalasa and Thotapalli projects.
Responding to it in-charge minister directed the officials concerned to complete the projects by March-end. On the occasion district collector, K Dhanunjaya Reddy requested active role of public representatives in achieving individual house hold lavatories (IHHL), in which district stood in last place.
Both the ministers announced that they will start motivation campaign at assembly segment level for five days from February 5. MLAs K Venkata Ramana, G Laxmidevi, B Ashok, B Ramana Murthy, JC, KVN Chakradhara Babu and ITDA PO L Sivasankar participated in the meeting.
