AP govt mulls to construct flyover similar to PVNR Expressway

Amaravati: Taking a cue from Telangana's PV Narasimha Rao expressway connecting the Shamshabad airport and Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed the officials to explore options to extend Benz Circle flyover to Nidamanuru in the Vijayawada's neighbourhood locality. 

In a review meeting on Tuesday, Chandrababu Naidu spoke to senior officials over the possibility of extending the flyover to ease heavy traffic in the city. He further asked the officials to speed up the process of flyover construction and asked them to complete by Novermber end. Highways connecting Vijayawada-Gundugolanu and Gundugolanu-Rajahmundry should be completed in two phases.  Works pertaining to Amaravati-Anantapur express highway should hastened, the Chief Minister told the officials. Works pertaining to land acquisition are expected to complete by June.
