Dr VGR enters International Wonder Book of World Records

Vijayawada: Deputy speaker Mandali Buddha Prasad said sincere efforts and awareness programmes made on diabetes by diabetic specialist Dr Venu Gopal Reddy was commendable.

He was the chief guest at the programme organised here on Tuesday on the occasion of presenting Wonder Book of World Records to Dr VGR. Speaking on the occasion, Budha Prasad said that at par with the corporate sector the government was providing free quality treatment to the poor.

He said that diabetes if neglected and said that about seven crore people are suffering from diabetes in the country. He complimented Dr VGR for enering Wonder Book of World Records.

Dr VGR said that in November 2017 VGR Diabetes Educational and Awareness Charitable Trust had organised essay writing competition in about 220 schools and colleges and more than 20,000 students participated in it which was a record, he said.
