Group of Ministers recommends amendment to GO 388
Amaravati: The Group of Ministers (GoM) recommended the state government to make amendments to G.O 388 to enable owners of house sites, whose plots were regularised, can mortgage them for their financial needs.
The GoM has also recommended government to decrease the time limit to two years from five years for sale and purchase of house sites in Gajuwaka of Visakhapatnam district.
In this connection, it may be recalled that the state government issued G.O 301 allowing residents of Gajuwaka to regularise their house sites but restricted that the people can sale or purchase the house sites only after 5 of regularisation.
State government received several petitions from locals of Gajuwaka and public representatives who requested to decrease the time limit to 2 years from the 5 years.
The GoM in the chairmanship of Revenue Minister K E Krishna Murthy on Tuesday agreed for the appeals and recommended to the state government to make amendments to the GO 301. Officials told the GoM that 7,407 house sites had been regularised so far in Gajuwaka.
